From New York we move to Europe, in London, to see the continuation of fashion week: the English one (from February 17 to 21) is perhaps the least followed but it’s still worth of attention. In fact, it distinguishes itself from the others for its peculiarities and the alternative beauties and it definitely deserves to be seen. Here you find a list of the best looks from this Edition:

Comfort is the protagonist of the catwalk: from soft suits and coats up to scarves that serve as shawls: it seems that everyday life has finally entered the world of fashion shows. Colors are pale or dark, with a domination of grey; purses have different sizes depending on your needs; lines are soft and cuts are elegant even being informal.

Details are enhanced on each look that was presented: from glitter, details and transparencies up to cuts that give a glimpse of the body. A strong smoky eye stands out the colors of the clothes (from black to white up to red). The style is for a woman who’s aware of her forms, of her sensuality and not at all scared to dare, whether during the day or the evening.

Alternated forms (dresses, tops, skirts and pants), patterns (floral, geometric, monochrome) and colors (dark tones to pastel tones) characterize this show, which offers clean looks that can be adapted to the taste of any woman.

A retro location like the dresses that were presented: versatile without being ordinary, thanks to details that make each of them unique. Colors range from black, to white, to red to gold: oversized models, necklines and geometric cuts suggest the idea of modern comfort.

Young looks, an idea suggested from the cuts and the interesting shapes (often combined in an original manner), versatile and colorful without being excessive are at the bottom of the collection presentation: the oversized pieces or the comfortable elements are always present, but the motifs are various, from casual lines and geometric patterns to the summer ones suggested by the floral print.

The attention to details of the proposed models stands out from the very beginning: some are traditional, others are an explosion of pastel colors and fine prints and some others surprise us for the bright colors, deep necklines or cuts that catch the eyes. It almost seems that beauty (indeed, beauties) in all its facets is the main protagonist of the runway.

Fancy and fairy prints surprise us and make us imagine surreal scenes, all suggested by bright colors ranging from dark tones to light ones. Details are finely curated and the models proposed recall a retro style, with a focus on dresses and coats.

Suits, skirts or trousers with sequels, are the main protagonists along with coats: translucent prints on fabrics stand out elegantly: shapes and cuts of the clothes are various, as well as colors, never excessive. Overall, a balanced presentation, classical in the choice of proposing a casual look but still sophisticated and varied.

A deep red background was thought to bring out the colors of clothes, with fabrics and details of warm tones: the mixture of geometric shapes and prints in clothing or in suits is always differentiated, the knee boots are a constant element while purses, of different materials and patterns, are colorful without being too much eccentric.

Nobility and sophistication are at the basis of this show: lightweight fabrics, romantic or floral prints, bold colors in details or in the entire piece of clothing (gold is dominant for example in the central part of the catwalk), clean female lines suggest the idea of elegance and composure that has the flavor of the past without being too far away from the present.

Pastel shades, soft forms, vivid motifs and an interesting mix of materials used, make the show very appealing, well-cured in details and very versatile: taking advantage of the event, the brand has launched and presented its first collection of bags.

Certain elements of Burberry, as the colors like sand, blue, black and white, and some typical English models are now a signature of the brand: the glaring news is the union of men’s fashion show with the women’s one and presentation of soft and unisex outfits, wearable in every occasion. What draw our attention are the cuts of the pieces, all different and unique.
