On May 8th, the spotlights were officially on the 71st Cannes Film Festival, one of the most awaited events every year. The eyes of the whole world have been focused on the Croisette, and especially on three elements: first, on the jury of this edition, composed mainly by women, beginning with the President herself, Cate Blanchett; second, on films, either in or out of the competition, such as “Dogman” by Matteo Garrone, “Under the Silver Lake” by David Robert Mitchell and “Solo: A Star Wars Story” by Ron Howard; last, but not least, on the red carpet looks!
This edition of the Cannes Film Festival surprised us with princess-like looks, original outfits, colorful dresses, precious jewels and refined details. For example, Penelope Cruz never missed a look, Winnie Harlow wore some fabulous dresses and Amber Heard was divine with a Valentino’s flower dress.
There were also some unforgettable and strong moments, like the women’s march, where members of the jury also participated in order to show their support for the cause, or the “riot” of Kristen Stewart, who took off her heels on the red carpet to protest against the obligation for women to wear heels on formal and elegant occasions, such as the Cannes Film Festival.
Also from the fashion point of view, we can say that this edition has been memorable: in this regard, discover the best looks that have been seen on the red carpet, only the crème de la crème.
