Golden Globes 2018 Red Carpet: the 10 Best Dressed

by

Here we are, the 2018 awards season has officially begun: we start the dance on Golden Globes 2018 Red Carpet that took place on January 7 at Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles.

During the evening, the awards were presented to both cinema and TV Series: to win the largest number in the first category was Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, while in the second one triumphed Big Little Lies and The Handmaid’s Tale.

But the protagonists of this edition were the defenserespect and equality propaganda, especially towards women, promoted after the several cases of accuses and harassments, revealed in the past few months in Hollywood. A new movement has been created to do justice and support women: Time’s Up, whose pin has been worn by most of the participants. Seth Meyers’ opening speech was very inspiring, as well as Oprah Winfrey’s monologue, who stated: “I’m especially proud and inspired by all the women who have felt strong enough and empowered enough to speak up and share their personal stories. Each of us in this room is celebrated because of the stories that we tell. And this year we became the story”.

The Golden Globes 2018 red carpet was painted black for the occasion: the dress code, imposed for the very first time, invited the presents to wear black as a sign of respect and support to the harassment survivors. The proposal has been accepted by all the participants. This year weren’t the colors to make the looks unique, but the small and significant details, which made the special evening a triumph of elegance and originality. Precious ornaments, transparencies, feathers, wide skirts and suits. Black has never been more meaningful during this very important celebration.
