Flavia Arditi is in love, you understand when you hear her: with whom? But with Milan, of course, the city that has welcomed her more than 10 years ago and that, in her heart, she has never left. To honor Milan, Flavia has founded Flawless Milano, the Lifestyle guide par excellence, containing all those tricks, tips and experiences that a Milanese, an Italian or a foreigner can appreciate in order to feel like her.
Curious, lover of travel, culture and beauty, Flavia has a style curated in every detail and representative of all these passions, which lead her to wear always different and unique outfits, enriched by her most beautiful accessory: her personality.
On a winter’s evening, Flavia came to us with a suitcase full of different looks, anecdotes to tell, smiles to share and fashion advice to test: she told us about her experience, what fashion means for her and her love for the reality that never ceases to surprise and to encourage her to seek inspirations everywhere, Brera included.
Are you ready to be surprised by her by her soul, #flawless just like the one of Milan?
FLAWLESS MILANO
I fell in love with Milan at first glance, an atypical thing for somebody from Rome. When I came here, in 2005, I knew right away that I wouldn’t leave it anymore. Over time this great love, which I slowly discovered to be shared by many people, has turned into something that I needed to express. I have always been attracted by beauty and that’s why, after several experiences in the fashion industry, I decided that it was time to take a step further, to speak about all the beauty that this city offers us every day by creating a portal that could be both a showcase and a box of experiences and emotions.
This is why, in 2014, together with my associates -Stefano Beccio and Andrea Andolfato- we decided to make this dream come true by founding “Flawless Milano – The Lifestyle Guide,” with the precise aim of making it the reference point for the lifestyle in Milan. To make it enjoyable for anyone, Italian or foreigner, to be able to appreciate it like a local and to have the right advice on how to live it at its fullest. Maybe those same tips that we would have liked to receive when we arrived.
“I decided that it was time to take a step further, to speak about all the beauty that this city offers us every day by creating a portal that could be both a showcase and a box of experiences and emotions.”
With the Salone del Mobile 2017 we added an important piece to the brand identity thanks to the paper project “Best of Mi.”, a paper guide, paperback and in dual language designed for leisure, fun to collect and printed in 15,000 copies per month distributed in more than 100 places, even in the main metro stops. A year later, with the Design Week 2018, and after the success of the “Best of Mi.” we added “Map of Mi.”: six seasonal quarter maps printed in 30,000 copies per season. A practical and immediate tool to live the city better. However, the Flawless project is not limited to the city of Milan: in April 2018 we launched “Flawless Florence,” and for 2019 the goal is to open it in other main Italian cities.
ESSENCE OF FASHION
The concept of essence declined in fashion is reflected in the creativity that comes from it, and with creativity I mean the research and the constant evolution that can stimulate the fantasies of each person. Each of us should have the ability to grasp this essence and reinterpret it without altering our own personality.
FASHION AND MILAN
Milan and fashion are the perfect combination, Milan needs fashion to shine and fashion needs Milan to elevate itself, they are essential to each other. In an era where the main and universal container of fashion is the Web, the combination of our city and fashion assumes an even more romantic and exclusive quality. For these reasons the two elements together are able to arouse in me almost adolescent emotions such as great anticipation, amazement, and wonder.

THE STYLE OF MILAN
The Milan of yesterday with a sophisticated and elegant look by Giorgio Armani, while I see the Milan of today, different in style and influences, surrounded by a multicultural mix, and then in a look with less rigorous proportions and more colorful (more colorful look with less rigorous proportions), but always equally chic.
BEYOND MILAN
I have been fortunate enough to travel a lot over the years, from one part of the world to the other. Yet Europe for me maintains an unparalleled fascination that only those who are born here can fully understand. For reasons related to personal memories it’s Paris, and in particular Montmartre, the fulcrum of the Bohemian spirit during the Belle Époque, which sometimes reminds me of my city of origin, Rome. That hill overlooking Paris and the Sacré-Cœur Basilica from which to admire the beauty of a unique city brings me back to the long walks that I did as a child to Villa Borghese and then I got to relax at the Pincio Terrace. But it’s not only that, it also reminds me of Brera with its streets and its artistic spirit.
“Milan needs fashion to shine and fashion needs Milan to elevate itself, they are essential to each other.”
THE RÊVE
I am a dreamer by definition, I never stop imagining the possible evolutions of my future. But I’m also very ambitious. Surely there is family, I think it is one of the most important values of life and the only bound able to withstand the fate of the world. On a professional level, in my future I have no doubt that there will be Flawless, the road is still long but we have every intention to continue its development, first in Italy and then abroad.
Nice to Meet You, I am: Flavia Arditi, founder of the company Flawless Living and of the Lifestyle Guide Flawless Milan. I call myself an incurable dreamer and a tireless worker.
Location: Milan of course. In the specific Brera, with its many facets, hectic and energetic during the day, romantic and mysterious by night.
Trend: Velvet, a true obsession. Both for a total look and for individual details. If dosed well it can give a sophisticated touch to every look. My fashion concept is closely connected to feeling good with what you wear, and for my style, it is the perfect element to brighten up an outfit with a chic twist.
VELVET
MANIA
#Inspo: #flawlessmilano , ça va sans dire. The beauty of certain places that we describe makes us want to dress well to trace their style.
The Touch of Style: A velvet headband to complete the look.
How I Like to Wear it: In every possible way, I really like the velvet wide-leg trousers and the coats. The important thing is that, before I go out, I must feel comfortable. If a certain look makes me feel good then it is the right one. I strongly believe in the power of fashion as a way to increase self-confidence, both for men and for women.
Trendspotting: Emma Stone, Marion Cotillard, Blake Lively at an international level. As for Italians, Carolina Crescentini and Miriam Leone, I really like them both.
“I strongly believe in the power of fashion as a way to increase self-confidence, both for men and for women.”
Your Favorite Fashion Book: “The Prada Life” by Gian Luigi Paracchini.
Epic Fail While Doing Shopping: Buying heels that are too high. I like them a lot but then it always ends that I almost never wear them.
Steal Style: The icons of the past have always fascinated and inspired me. On all, I will look trivial, but Grace Kelly, with her innate elegance, Brigitte Bardot and her sensuality and Princess Diana, who never missed a look succeeding in making even the most challenging outfit look casual.
