Jasmine Caccamo, a wardrobe stylist from New York who works with celebrities such as Camila Cabello, John Cena, and Addison Riecke, tells us how to be refined and trendy at the same time!
___________
How did your passion for styling begin?
__________
From a young age, I’ve always been influenced by different culture’s styles. My family often traveled to Europe, mainly Italy, as my father emigrated from Sicily and we, to this day, still have family there. I quickly became inspired by my mother’s European style, and influences from both Italy and Paris. I knew from a little girl, I was meant to be in fashion. I would even make a showroom out of my closet in middle school, and had my sister and best friends sign in and out items…this was before I even delved into the industry!
__________
What was the best styling of 2017 and what will be for you a trend in 2018?
__________
In 2017, I was very much into the athleisure trend. We saw a lot of new takes on athleisure from designers like Alexander Wang and Dolce & Gabbana, with skin slimming knits and colorful bodysuits. For 2018, I’m already looking forward to seeing how cargo pants are going to make a comeback. In Pre-Fall collections, Chloé and Sonia Rykiel presented their takes on the cargo pant, and I’m curious to see how they’ll be styled (editorially and on the carpets my clients included!).

__________
Can you tell us a memorable experience with an actress/actor or model that you curated the style for?
__________
Currently, my most memorable and favorite look that I curated was with Alex Morgan for the 2016 MET Gala. Christian Siriano and I designed her dress, along with dressing her in Norman Silverman jewels, to make a look I will never forget…
